My '03 had rubber boots on the 2 extended posts, so I popped the posts of the mirror back and put them into their motor-sockets (makes that clicky-sound), then put the boots back on. Then you just line up those 4 ball & sockets and press into place. OK, let me tell you about my John Deere hat fiasco... When I bought my new E140 from Home Depot the owners manual said if I went online & registered my new lawn tractor to start the warranty they would send me a free hat. Oh, Hell Yeah!! thinks me, so I registered my tractor but those SOBs never did send me my hat. Not long after I bought a john deere 40" tractor shovel from my local john deer dealer & HE sent me a free JD hat. Sort of. The hat was green & white it had theJD symbol on front but it also displayed the dealers logo. Yeah, OK. Well, it didnt take long for that hat to become sweat stained & dirty so I went to amazon to buy a new one $34.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh. Hell No. So I shopped & shopped & shopped here & there but they were all $30+. One day, I discovered JD has an apparel store. Hats? $10.00. WHOOPIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was ready to buy EXCEPT - shipping = $18.00 . Are you Fkn me? So, I did not buy and grumbled about it for the longest time. FINALLY, one day it occurred to me that if I bought like 4 hats, the shipping would be about $4.50 each-that I can swallow. So I did. JD has many many many many many styles of hats so I picked out 4 different ones & purchased. They arrived, not from corporate, but, from my local dealer. OK, whatever. Soon after, I went to visit my son in Idaho. Guess what? My sons town has 2 count 'em 2 john deere dealerships. I then realized If I had half a brain and waited to buy my hats I could have strolled into one of these dealerships & bought me a hat off the shelf with NO shipping. Jeezus. Whats a Mother to do? !

I noticed you have your control unit on the second floor. No issues with the debris making it into the unit? I would think it would have to be at a lower level than the piping so gravity can help any debris make it into the motor

My grill top does not heat evenly. Regardless of win direction or how I position the grill, the top left hand corner is substantially hotter. Need help. Jerry

we will have a 100 feet by 40 feet rectangle home on 2 levels.. is it good to keep the motor unit in the center and draw from both sides or do you suggest we keep it on one end of the rectangle and draw from one direction only?

"This help a lot to get in the right direction". Just fixed it (30MAR23) just like driver side on this video, these are the ones that normally go bad on c5s. I pulled the two notches out to reach better, they extend if you pull on them softly with rubber pliers . The other two are what rotates the mirrors, if you are afraid to break them use a T8x2in "star" screw driver to take off those three screws, they are the longer ones 😊

The part number you show on the part you are using does not fit a 2003 Corvette . I have just verified with Corvette. It is a different part number

Chris, great video and I followed your instructions. I replaced mine with just the heated version, since I never felt the tint worked anyway. Just a tip for others, for the 2 “posts or arms” that you transfer over to the new mirror, I found that a 1/2” deep 7/16 hole in the block kept it steady so I didn’t have to fight it to keep it straight, because it does require a hefty push.

Nice. I’m glad I found this video. I’m about to replace the head unit on the exact same vehicle. 2002 tundra that somebody gave me for free. It’s beat up but the engine and transmission are rocksolid. Can’t beat a free truck. Thanks for the video.

Thanks from for this upload. I changed out my factory radio in my 03 about 10 years ago and didn’t have to remove the amp. Now I’m changing that one out later today with a bigger touchscreen Boss BE62CP from Crutchfield and they say to remove the factory amp. I hope my factory brackets are still in there🤞🏼 Update: Their not😩
